General Services comprises engineering, housekeeping, security, quartering and estate.
Engineering & Housekeeping
This includes the following departments, which manage all the utilities for MGGOI, including hospitals.
Security
The security wing headed by the Chief Security Officer (CSO) takes care of all aspects of campus security. Besides managing internal security personnel, the CSO also controls and co-ordinates the activity and deployment of the outsourced security services. The CSO also controls the access control and CCTV system installed across the campus.
Quartering
This department is responsible for the allotment and upkeep of staff and other quarters on the campus.
Estate
The Estate officer deals with the land records, various statutory requirements pertaining to campus buildings, and also supervises the activities of all commercial establishments on campus.
