Celebrated World Hypertension Day

On May 17, 2024, Maa Gayatri College of Pharmacy (MGCOP) celebrated World Hypertension Day under the theme "Measure Your Blood Pressure Accurately Control It Live Longer." The event commenced with a welcome note and speech by hostess Miss Ritika John, Assistant Professor at MGCOP. Students delivered informative PowerPoint presentations on the effects of hypertension. There were practical demonstrations and hands-on training conducted by student volunteers, teaching participants how to measure blood pressure using manual sphygmomanometers, digital monitors, and mobile applications. Over 140 students actively participated in and benefited from the program. Mr. Pramod Kumar, Assistant Professor at MGCOP, concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
